BEHIND THE BRAND – INTENT MX 

Firstly, my name is Toby. I raced Motocross at an elite level for what was at the time, my entire life, in hopes of one day pursuing a career in professional motocross and supercross. Like many, a dream shared accross the globe. On july 6th, 2014 all hopes of that dream were lost as well as the greater percentage of my life. At the age of 17, I crashed at a local race meet suffering a compression fracture of the c5 vertebrae in my neck. Resulting in becoming a quadriplegic. After sometime of leaving spinal rehab, I struggled to find a purpose in life but I always knew I wanted to remain involved in the sport we all love.

I decided to have a go at designing some gear. At the time, not really knowing what would come from it. The more I trialled the more I become aware of the potential to realistically create high quality & high performance products that compete with the biggest brands in the sport. With my experience from racing and with the burning desire for Innovation, Progression and Unrivalled Style, Performance and Quality. With thousands of hours of planning, construction, trial and error with different fabrics, fabric orientations, sizing, design and colourways. – As a result, I now present to you, Intent mx. – A Company and brand to be reckoned with in unprecidented designs to make you stand out from the crowd and in ultimately the best form fitting, performing and comfortable dirt bike gear on the market to date.

Also, with my personal draw/income I plan to create, innovate and produce necessary aids and tools that will assist myself and thousands of other people living with disabilities. Living with a disability is difficult and extremely restricting. I want to create products that make people capable of doing tasks and activities in their daily lives that are now merely impossibilities.
